Today I spoke with Julie Kundert and recorded it for you! Okay, my hair is a little crazy in those braids, I probably should’ve fixed the lighting and I definitely should’ve showered before doing this, but I have been quite busy. And Julie looks FABULOUS. More than that, I think what she says is fabulous. That’s the most important part.
Julie, a very popular yoga/meditation teacher, focuses in on how she’s dealt with her adult daughter’s heroin addiction. I think many people will relate to Julie’s message. I know I do! In the video, I mention my nephew who has also dealt with addiction. The video starts with Julie saying “There’s a time for everything.” That was the end to our convo before I pressed record. I didn’t bother editing this…I’m being real here! Enjoy.
P.S. By the way, a few years ago Julie authored the book Positively Traumatized, which discusses her first husband’s suicide and subsequent horrific abuse by a later partner. Part of the proceeds from the book go to Strength United Family Justice Center. I should also say that Julie has been leading a really peaceful, healthy life for many years. She’s a true inspiration!
Wow, that was really powerful. I resonated with much of what Julie said about cleaning up my side of the fence and allowing my daughter to make her own adult choices with her own consequences. It’s so hard to be that detached but it’s so healthy when you have a moment of clarity like she expressed … grateful to you for creating this FORUM. Keep it going The v
I have so much compassion for "deep survival"... love you so much Victoria and know I could be dear friends with you too Julie. Thank you for sharing your heart with us!! xoxo
